Zelda The Missing Link is a highly anticipated new Zelda game made in the N64 Ocarina of Time Engine
Zelda fans will be delighted to hear that romhack legend Kaza Emanuar has finally released his highly anticipated new Zelda game, The Legend of Zelda: The Missing Link.
Created in the Nintendo 64 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time engine, The Missing Link is a short Zelda game set between the events of Ocarina of Time and its sequel, Majora’s Mask.
It’s a really great project and comes with several new items, including a magical hourglass that allows Link to travel back in time. While short, we’re pretty sure fans of the series will love it.
The new Zelda The Missing Link rom hack works with N64 emulators on PC and requires players to patch their Super Mario 64 rom to work. We’ve added a video of the game below, which also includes instructions on how to get it to work.
Earlier this year, we also wrote about Kaze’s impressive Super Mario Odyssey 64 Mod, which transfers the levels and mechanics of Super Mario Odyssey to Super Mario 64. If you like rom hacks, you should check them out too.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was released for the Nintendo 64 in 1998 and is considered one of the greatest games of all time. Ocarina of Time was the first Zelda episode in 3D, adding depth to Zelda’s gameplay. The title was later made available on other Nintendo platforms, including the Nintendo 3DS.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time inspired millions of players around the world with its in-depth gameplay, rich 3D visuals and memorable adventures. It set the standard by which all other games have been judged. And now it’s available again, both for experienced gamers to relive their glory days and for younger players to discover it for the first time.
