Woolworths shared a lesser-known feature about supermarket carts that can save you time at checkout.

Sydney employee Liam Kirley posted a TikTok video and revealed that the smaller trolleys fit perfectly under manned tills at the end of the till.

The handy feature could change the way customers shop, as it’s ideal for those who want to skip the packing process and put purchases right back into the cart.

Woolworths employee Liam Kirley, of Sydney, has unveiled a little-known feature about supermarket trolleys. In a now-viral TikTok video, he said the smaller trolleys at the end of the checkout will fit under manned checkouts

“If you want to skip packing and you have a smaller trolley, these trolleys just sit in our tills – so you can easily put items in the trolley,” Liam said in the clip.

But the special trolley function is only suitable for manned checkouts and not for self-service checkouts.

The now viral video has been viewed more than 28,000 times and shocked TikTok users.

Liam added that if you have multiple products of the same type, only one needs to be scanned.

“If you have more of the same product, you can put one on the conveyor and leave the rest in the cart,” he said.

“And tell our team member how many you have and we’ll write it in the register.”

He said there is a store folder at the end of each aisle that tells you where to find each product.

The hundreds of products listed in the shopping guide are arranged in alphabetical categories so that customers can quickly and easily find what they are looking for.

Here’s a shopping hack to find groceries at Woolworths. At the end of each aisle there are shopping folders that tell you where a product family is,” Liam said in the video, sharing a close-up of the folder.

“If you’re looking for honey, it says it’s in aisle three. So go to aisle three, and there’s our treasure!’

The handy insight would be perfect if you’re in a hurry or buying something from another Woolworths store you don’t know.
