The fitness expert also shared some helpful tips for staying healthy while traveling, including fasting until late morning, drinking plenty of water, and walking.

“I know I eat out most nights, so I find it helps a little bit to save more of my calories for later in the day,” she wrote.

She said she starts her day by drinking a gallon of water, a cup of coffee, and either going for a light walk or doing a mini-workout.

“If I have to move first, it’s out of the way and I can relax for the rest of the day,” she said.

Rachel said she also runs a grocery store so she can make some of her own meals instead of eating out all the time, which “helps with some checking.”

Finally, she advises to give and take when ordering.

“If you want to have a few cocktails, maybe skip your appetizer or dessert. If you want dessert, maybe skip your drinks! A small compromise every day goes a long way.’

I fast until about 10 or 11 a.m. I know I eat out most nights so I find it helps a bit to save more calories for later in the day

I start my day with 1L of water, a cup of coffee and take a light walk or do a mini-workout. Moving first gets it out of the way and allows me to relax for the rest of the day

Walk more. I know I’ll be consuming more calories on vacation, so getting more exercise will help me balance my energy expenditure

Run a grocery store. I personally plan 1-2 meals out and 1-2 meals in. This also helps in having some control

Give and take! If you want a few cocktails, maybe skip your appetizer or dessert. If you want dessert, maybe skip your drinks! A little compromise every day goes a long way
