Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker says this season is about more than just claiming the Premier League title.

After an injury-plagued campaign last season, the Reds were unable to defend their title as they would have liked and finished 17 points behind eventual champion Manchester City.

But Alisson says there is more to this season than just winning the league and that he has set his sights on many other trophies, including the Champions League and the FA Cup.

When asked if this season is about reclaiming the Premier League title, Alisson told Liverpool FC magazine: ‘It’s about more than that, to be honest. We want more.’

The 29-year-old added: ‘Of course we want to win every tournament we play in. We want to win the Champions League, the Premier League, the FA Cup, the Carabao Cup, all the tournaments that it is possible for us to play in.

“This should be everyone’s goal and goal for a team like us. But we have to take it game by game and we must concentrate on our work to do 100% what we have to do ”.

Liverpool’s undefeated start to the season was halted by a 3-2 loss to West Ham last week, a result that has placed them in fourth place, four points behind league leaders Chelsea.

But they are already in the knockout stages of the Champions League, with two games to spare, having won all four games in the competition so far.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are also in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals and will play Leicester on December 22 for a place in the bottom four.

The Reds will look to get back on the winning track after the international break when they face Arsenal in form at Anfield.
