This year’s highlight at DC Fandome was clear (as it was last year): New trailer for ‘The Batman’, the new incarnation of the Night Knight starring Robert Pattinson that Matt Reeves is going to be in charge of taking to areas more noir and sinister than we are used to. Warner has been warming up for a couple of days with teasers, and the final trailer has arrived.
Of course, we will have to wait for next March 4, 2022 to enjoy the full version of this new version of the Bat Man where we will have a good portion of old acquaintances of the franchise. Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz) and Riddler (Paul Dano) confront the hero while James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) wonders the “friend or foe?” de rigueur.
Return of the Lord of the Night
In the presentation of the trailer, Reeves, Pattinson and Kravitz have commented on various aspects of this new vision of Batman: the inner rage suffered by Bruce Wayne, taking his first steps as a hero, or the grayish morality of Catwoman. But they have also focused on anecdotes like the first days of shooting for everyone and how the actors adapted to the costumes.
Pattinson has underscored the importance of the character to generations of fans, and has stressed the importance of Batman as a pop icon. AND He has also commented on how he has been a fan and compulsive collector of the character for years, and how you have prepared yourself for this role over the years.
