The new Surface Pro 8 takes a radical leap with its jump to Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 120 Hz screen

Microsoft renews its family of hardware devices, and one of the protagonists is undoubtedly the new Surface Pro 8, its convertible tablet, which takes a really remarkable leap compared to previous versions of this team.

Among those novelties is its new screen with 120 Hz refreshment, but they are also important the jump (finally!) to USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 and a new Surface Pen 2.

A Surface Pro 8 that finally adapts to the times

The Surface Pro have always been absolute benchmarks in the convertible segment, but at Microsoft they kept curious decisions like those of the port that owns cargo.

Intel

That is now resolved with the inclusion of USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 interface that among other things allow these tablets to be charged through those ports.

It is not the only important novelty of the Surface Pro 8, which comes with the new Intel Core 11th generation quad-core processors and can be accompanied by up to 32 GB of RAM.

The screen is another of the great beneficiaries of the generational leap: we move to a 13-inch diagonal with a Pixel Sense panel that, in addition to offering a high resolution, brings us a more than striking novelty: support for refresh rates up to 120 Hz

On that screen has also been integrated an adaptive color technology reminiscent of the True Tone technology of the iPad, and that allows the contrast, brightness and tones shown to the user to be the most appropriate in each scenario.

In that experience with the Surface Pro 8 too the new Surface Pen 2 is very special, which is offered as an optional accessory but which also improves with a small chip that generates microvibrations when we are using them on the screen to simulate the response we would have when writing or painting on paper.

This new stylus is complemented by the keyboard for the Surface Pro 8, which has a receptacle for that Surface Pen 2 where this peripheral will charge automatically.
