In this world, there are things that the average user can only dream of. It could be, for example, having a private island, a $500 million yacht-like Jeff Bezos’s, a private plane, or, why not, a $23 million car. Because yes, those extreme luxury vehicles exist. And which is the most expensive? The new Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, a convertible that costs no more than 23 million euros.
Three units have been manufactured from this vehicle, all tailor-made and with unique specifications. Three teams for three customers (we don’t know who they are) will be the only three people who can boast of having this car since they have assured us that they will no longer be done. And what does this car have to cost so much? Well, let’s see him.
What’s got a 23 million euro car
On the one hand, the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail is based on the Phantom Drophead, which is already discontinued. With it shares its aluminum platform and engine, a 6.75 V12 of 563 hp. As a curiosity, if you had bought one of the last 50 Phantom Dropheads before 2017, you would have taken a piece of Goodwood’s factory as well.
The Rolls-Royce Boat Tail is a convertible car whose rear (wooden) simulates the stern of a yacht. This rear opens to allow you to see a storage system of champagne, cold drinks, glasses, towels, dishes, and even caviar. We have two cocktail tables and stools on the sides because somewhere you will have to sit and have the champagne—quite a luxury.
It has four squares, measures 5.8 meters, an eye-catching but at the same time quite minimalist design and noble materials: handmade aluminum bodywork, stainless steel inlays, exclusive leathers, and hand-painted details. It also includes a matched Bovet 1822 watch, a Montblanc pen, and an umbrella.
As we said earlier, there are three cars, and the first is the one we see in the photos that accompany this article. This car has 1,813 pieces manufactured alone and exclusively for it. The price, let’s remember, is 20 million pounds, which is 23 million euros or so.
