The first Honor laptops with Windows 11 and Intel Evo arrive: this is the MagicBook 16 Pro and V14 with screens up to 144 Hz

Windows 11 can be a shock in the world of notebooks and manufacturers know it. Taking advantage of the arrival of the new version of Microsoft’s operating system, brands such as Honor have decided to launch a new series of laptops, taking a step forward with respect to what we had to date with the introduction of first-rate components such as new graphics cards. NVIDIA RTX or the commitment to panels with a high refresh rate.

These are the new Honor MagicBook Pro 16 (2021) y MagicBook V14, a notebook focused on gamers and a new slim ultrabook, which for the first time in Honor adds Intel Evo certification.

The new Honor MagicBook 16 Pro (2021) offers a 16.1-inch IPS panel with FullHD resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate, common in laptops to play. It stands out for a body with rather thin edges, 5.1 millimeters and a screen ratio of 87.3%.

Inside you opt for a processor AMD Ryzen 5800H, along with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD hard drive. We have two versions, a more basic one with a GTX1650 graphics card and a Pro version with the NVIDIA RTX3050. With the addition of this GPU, this is the first time that Honor incorporates an RTX 3000 series graphics in its laptops.

At the performance level, Honor incorporates 2mm cooling tubes to increase the air volume and lower the temperature. We have a 1.84 kilogram body with a 18.2mm thick. Inside, a 56 Wh battery is added that promises up to 8 hours of use.

Less powerful but more compact and advanced is the Honor MagicBook V14. It is the first Honor laptop to be certified by Intel Evo and the first to add Windows 11 pre-installed.

Inside we find different Intel processors, depending on the version chosen. Have from Intel Core i5-1132H to Intel Core i7-11390H, accompanied by 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.

The chosen panel does not have such a high refresh rate, but in exchange we are offered a 14.2 “LTPS panel with 2K resolution and 90.5% screen ratio. With a 3: 2 format, we have a more stylish laptop with a weight of 1.48 kg.

For the battery we have 60 Wh, it has WiFi 6 and stands out for a good level of sound with four stereo speakers and four long-range microphones. It also adds a fingerprint reader and a keyboard with 1.5 mm travel.

Availability and prices of the new Honor MagicBook laptops

The new Honor MagicBook 16 Pro and MagicBook V14 are now available to buy in China. At the moment its international availability has not been announced. We will update with this information when they reach more markets.
