The Block host Scott Cam says he will do everything he can to help Tom Calleja and Sarah-Jane Wilson after their crushing auction day result.

The 59-year-old is devastated that the hard-working team’s efforts were not rewarded when their home went under the hammer and wants to put things right.

He told women’s day the show’s producers are considering giving the couple a ‘second chance’ and hinting that they will return for a future season.

“We find something for them to do and give them a second chance on the pitch,” he revealed.

Scotty said Tom and Sarah-Jane were ‘probably the hardest working couple’ on this year’s season of The Block.

He found their ‘bogan’ attitude endearing and felt ‘devastated’ when their home sold for just over its reserve price.

Tom and Sarah-Jane came third during the final and walked away with a profit of just $20,000 – the lowest earnings since two homes in 2014 earned $10,000.

Their property had a reserve price of $4.08 million and sold for $4.1 million.

After the disappointing result, the couple made the difficult decision to sell the Ford ute they had won at the show to make ends meet.

After the final, the pair took to Instagram to tell their fans they had no choice but to sell their car to make up for lost earnings.

“Unfortunately for Tom, we will be selling Ford,” they told their 35,000 followers.

Sarah-Jane also told 9 Entertainment the couple had spent a lot of money funding their efforts on The Block, so they were now in the red.
