Super fan sisters Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury are labeled ‘repulsive’

Love Island’s super fan sisters have hit back after being labeled “disgusting” for dressing up their toddlers as kissing reality star couple Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury.

Full-time mums Amie, 26, and Kathleen Coady, 33, from County Limerick, Ireland, entered an online costume contest with their three-year-old toddlers Eileen McMhron and William Morey on Sunday, shelling out nearly £100 to style them as their reality TV idols.

Sweet snaps shared on Twitter show the couple holding hands and kissing each other on the cheek while the other stands straight-faced, finally cracking a smile as he squats down for some candid photos.

However, the doting moms were forced to defend their photos as “their own choice” after Twitter users labeled them “freaks” for dressing up their kids as a “couple” and as “people they don’t know.”

Speaking back, William’s mother Amie said, ‘They are our children so we decided to dress them up and they were happy with it. William loves boxing so he was so happy to dress up as a boxer.

“If someone wants to dress up their kids as something else, that’s their decision. We also dressed them in other costumes, but we wanted to do a little extra.

“I know they were dressed as a couple, but they’re just little cousins and they’re so close.”

Posed shots showed Eileen sporting light ripped jeans, a green shirt tied at the waist, trainers and a Louis Vuitton-style bum bag with her hair scraped into a messy bun.

The mini model even posed with her very own ‘Ellie Belly’ stuffed elephant – who became famous for his own appearance on Love Island.

Meanwhile, William was a little Tommy doppelganger with his black chinos, black top and trainers, paired with his own gold Rolex watch and boxing gloves.

To complete the look, William’s hair was sprayed black to look just like the boxer.

The toddlers’ sneakers cost around £15 each, while both their tops and pants cost the mums around £60 at Zara and Next.

Amie revealed: ‘We showed the kids pictures of Tommy and Molly-Mae beforehand so they knew who they were, they were happy to do it.

‘We arranged the clothes a few days before, it was quite cheap. My sister even managed to get Molly-Mae’s stuffed elephant Ellie Belly.

“The pictures were really cute. My youngest sister had them pose because if I tried, he couldn’t possibly do it, but he listened to her.

“We were chatting about Halloween and we said it would be interesting to dress them up as Molly-Mae and Tommy because we’re big fans. We also watched them on Love Island.”

The controversial costumes earned the toddlers first prize in a local Facebook group contest on Monday, and the family was eager to share their posed photos and celebrate their win.

But when one of their posts was shared on Twitter, many users criticized their choices, with more than 20,000 people “liking” a tweet criticizing the mothers.

One user tweeted, “I hate it when parents force their kids into costumes without asking how they want to dress up. They demonstrably don’t know who these people are’.

Meanwhile, user @dov97 added, “I hate this place. The little guy probably wanted to be a dinosaur.”

Another added: ‘It’s weird that the adults have two siblings dressed up as a couple. Poor kids should be something nice and cute.”

But Amie insists she and Kathleen dressed them up in other costumes as well, including Spiderman, so they could enjoy more traditional costumes as well.
