A savvy Kmart shopper has revealed how she turned a ‘hungry’ artificial multicolored Christmas tree into a beautifully luxurious party piece for just $16.

Hailey was on the hunt for a rainbow tree this year but was disappointed with the $4 “poor, sad, skinny” option being sold by the retail giant.

But after purchasing four of the affordable purchases, she managed to create the perfect colorful tree she wanted.

The ‘brilliant’ idea created a much ‘fuller’ look with layers of green, blue, purple and pink.

“So I really wanted a rainbow tree this year, but all they had was the poor, skinny, skinny tree for $4,” Hailey wrote, sharing photos on Facebook.

“I bought four, removed the bottom stands (they came off easily), tied them together, and BAM! I’m sure this would work with any tree!’

To make the tree, she first removed the stand from three of the four trees and then ‘fluffed’ all the branches in the same direction.

She then bundled the branches together and then fastened three zip ties at the top, middle and bottom and set the legs on the only remaining stand.

The end result looked fantastic, even though it still had to be decorated.
