A young bargain hunter has revealed how she scored a $40 fillet of scotch for under $2 at her recent store by watching out for meats with a “quick sale” sticker.
The 1.4-kilogram steak was initially priced at $39.12, but was reduced three times before the savvy Woolworths shopper added it to her shopping cart.
The young woman posted a photo of the Drovers Choice brand beef and its incredible $1.95 price tag on a bargain hunter’s Facebook page.

“Great score tonight,” she boasted.
The meat was usable on November 1, the same day the woman bought it, but she wasn’t worried.
The incredible bargain infuriated some shoppers, who said they struggled to find products with “decent discounts.”
“We can’t even get $2 off products here in Merrylands,” one woman complained.
“Can we get some discounts like this,” said another, tagging their partner.
While others congratulated her but agreed that their local never has good deals.
“Great find, not a discount like the one in Moe.” said a woman.
But most were excited for the lucky shopper.
“You win, well done,” one shouted.
‘Looks perfect for a Melbourne Cup Day BBQ,’ said another.
