Sergio Ramos reveals calf injury which is set to see him miss the match against Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-final and reunion with Mohamed Salah… with Real Madrid captain picking up muscle problem on international duty with Spain.
Los Blancos announced on Thursday that Sergio suffered a calf injury whilst on international duty with Spain, just ahead of Real Madrid’s game against Eibar on Saturday. Three days later, Zidane’s side will host Liverpool at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.
Ramos said ” The truth is that I had some tough few weeks. “Yesterday, after the game, I was training on the pitch and noticed a puncture in my left calf. Today I have been tested and caught by muscle injury.
After facing Liverpool next Tuesday, Real Madrid will host Barcelona on 10 April before on the Reds again four days later.
