So fast! Selena Gomez announced the launch date for her highly anticipated beauty line, Rare Beauty.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, August 4, the former Disney Channel star informed fans that they will be able to purchase the collection from Sephora from September 3 and rarebeauty.com. “I had so much fun making everything and can’t wait for you all to try it,” she continued in the caption. “I hope you love it as much as I do!”
In July, she also shared news about how the brand returns. In an Instagram post on her birthday, July 22, Gomez announced the Rare Impact Fund, which will help individuals in underprivileged communities access mental health care and support.

And last but not least! Selena Gomez dropped some details about her upcoming beauty line, including the name: Rare Beauty, a nod to her latest album.
On Tuesday, February 4, the “Lose You to Love Me” singer took to social media to share the exciting announcement.
After working on the project for two years – and applying for a trademark in August – Gomez will officially launch the collection at Sephora this summer, as well as all Sephoras within JCPenney locations.
She revealed this along with a sneak peek video explaining the general idea behind the brand.
“Being rare is about feeling comfortable. I have stopped trying to be perfect. I just want to be myself, ‘says the founder as she tests lipstick and eyeshadow samples while smiling with the team. “I think Rare Beauty can be more than a beauty brand. I want all of us to stop comparing ourselves and embarrass our own uniqueness. You are not determined by a photo, a like or a comment. Rare Beauty is not about how other people see you. It’s about how you see yourself. ‘
She continued to share this sentiment in an Instagram Live video she made around 12:30 p.m. PST.
“It is not just any brand. It’s going to be a lifestyle, ”she explained. “I want girls and boys and men and women to feel comfortable. It is meant to be enjoyed, it is very special. We are not meant to be like everyone, we should be like ourselves. ‘
To provide the emerging brand with some veteran experience, they hired NYX’s Scott Friedman to serve as chief executive officer. “We hired talent who has provided decades of beauty experience from leading prestigious and professional makeup brands to carry out Selena’s vision,” Friedman said WWD.
While Rare Beauty will be available in North America this summer, Gomez told the publication that it plans to expand internationally by 2021. “We’re going global next year,” Gomez told the publication. “I want your help building the brand because I want it to be real – real stories, real people.”
