Mandy, 45, spoke out about her recent health fears in an Instagram post this weekend, when she also railed against online trolls who “attacked” her weight gain in the wake of her illness, explaining that she had gained ’60 pounds. ‘ due to the infection, which caused her to go from size 8 to size 16.

“I gained 60 pounds plus inflammation from the infection,” she said. “I never gave up on myself or Wondermin to become a reality. I had zero business to be at a photo shoot.
‘So yesterday was a beautiful day full of personal attacks for many reasons. I am healthy and I will work on myself at my pace. It’s a wonder I’m here and could be careless if that means I’m a 16 instead of an 8.’
According to Mandy, she faced a series of “personal attacks” on her appearance after posing with her daughter on the cover of Entrepreneur magazine last week.
Mandy declined to share some of the harshest comments and DMs she received, instead posting a screenshot of a “polite offer” she received from an Instagram user promoting a drug-free weight loss method.
“Hi dear Mandy, I know the most effective way to lose weight,” the message reads.
‘If you contact me, you will definitely lose weight. You only pay for it, but you will definitely lose weight. The price is $5,000, I’ll take an online course and help you lose weight.”
Selena’s mother did not reveal when exactly she was hospitalized with double pneumonia, nor did she specify whether her diagnosis was related in any way to COVID-19.
However, Mandy revealed in May that she was struggling with her physical and mental health, writing in an Instagram post at the time: “This past year has been a year of growth. I struggled with health problems, mental problems and rediscovery.’
