Samsung’s kidney-shaped Galaxy Buds Live earphones are now official. They include exciting new features and we have a complete overview here.
Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Live go a step further with the true wireless experience with the addition of active noise cancellation
Considering the products Samsung announced a while back, the Galaxy Buds Live pales in comparison. But they are an essential part of the Samsung ecosystem and those that will make you reconsider whether or not you need that headphone jack. Believe me, you don’t.
While the design might put many people off, these earphones are designed to offer a better fit and improved sound isolation. Yet it does polarize.
The charging case for the earphones has a similar design language where everything seems continuous.
Active noise reduction
Rather than relying on passive noise cancellation, Samsung has a pair of built-in microphones that enable active noise cancellation. Just turn it on and the outside world just disappears. And just like the regular Galaxy Buds, you can allow outside noises into your ear so you can listen to what’s going on around you.
You can expect varying battery runtimes with the Galaxy Buds Live. It all depends on whether you have turned on the voice assistant on request, whether or not noise cancellation is turned on, etc. But you can expect 8 hours of playtime on a single charge and the charging case lasts up to 29 hours, which is great.
Samsung says that a 5 minute charge in the charging case gives you an hour of listening time. The charging case is Qi certified, so you can charge it without connecting a USB-C cable.
Samsung really wants you to use Bixby with these earphones and you have the option to call up voice assistant with your voice. Of course, you can disable that feature and save battery life.
Drivers of 12 mm
Samsung says the Galaxy Buds Live has 12mm drivers that should give you a beautiful sound full of a lot of bass.
The Galaxy Buds Live are available in three color options: Mystic Bronze, Mystic Black, Mystic White.
Samsung has modestly priced the Galaxy Buds Live for just $ 169.99.
Date of publication
You can buy these earphones from August 6.
