Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his 150th goal in Serie A when AC Milan inflicted José Mourinho’s first home loss as Roma manager.

The visitors clinched a 2-1 win at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday to keep up with Serie A leaders Napoli.

The 40-year-old forward hit a low free kick in the bottom corner in the 25th minute to put the visitors ahead after a spirited start, his 400th goal overall in the domestic leagues.

Ibrahimovic had a brilliant second dismissed for offside after the break, as did teammate Rafael Leao in the first half.

He then fell under the challenge of Roger Ibáñez to earn a kick that Franck Kessie converted in the 57th minute.

Milan were reduced to 10 men in the final 25 minutes after left-back Theo Hernández received a second yellow card.

But Stephan El Shaarawy’s goal in injury time was not enough to save the game for Roma.

The victory leaves Milan second, tied on 31 points with leader Napoli and 12 points ahead of Roma, who occupy fourth place.

Napoli kept the top spot with a 1-0 win at Salernitana on Sunday, but they had to work hard against the relegation fighters as Piotr Zielinski scored a winner and both sides had players sent off late in the game.

Napoli struggled to threaten in the absence of injured top scorer Victor Osimhen and captain Lorenzo Insigne, who was only fit enough for the bench, but finally broke through in chaotic fashion in the 61st minute.

Substitute Andrea Petagna headed off the crossbar, the ball cleared to Mario Rui and the defender’s shot deflected into Zielinski’s path to shoot from close range.
