Across the country, companies such as hair salons and other beauty-related services have had to close their doors in the near future as the corona virus continues to spread at a shocking rate. And since everyone is quarantining themselves, this means that home visits from their glamor crew are in fact excluded from stars.
Some of the first celebs to get personal about their hair color on social media were Kelly Ripa and Kevin Hart. On Saturday March 21, Hart shared a 4-minute IGTV video as part of a series he is called “Confessions With Kev.” In the accompanying caption, the comedian wrote, “PS I’ve always had a lot of gray hair … I was just a regular dyer … I don’t work now, so I said FK IT.”
The next day, on March 22, Ripa posted a photo of her hair to her Instagram story with a touch of comedic flair. The 49-year-old mother of three wrote a text overlay on the photo that reads ‘Root watch week one’.
Other stars also become open and honest about their grays. Kyle Richards, Tamera Mowry and Teddi Mellencamp are among those who have shared their struggles on social media – along with powerful self-love messages.
Mowry is a great example of celebs who remain positive during such a confusing and scary time. Disney Channel’s alum shared one fresh selfie with her hair away from her face in a braid. She captioned the beautiful photo: “Hello graying. I don’t get my hair done during #socialdistancing, and I like it! ”
