Queen Maxima of the Netherlands looked breathtaking as she and King Willem-Alexander attended a gala dinner with the Norwegian royal family at the Royal Palace in Oslo today.
The mother of three, 50, and her husband, 54, embarked on a whirlwind three-day trip to visit the country earlier today, and were spotted this morning getting off the plane at Oslo Airport Gardermoen.
And tonight, the royals looked dazzling as they arrived at the gala dinner at the Royal Palace, with Queen Maxima walking into the event arm-in-arm with Norway’s King Harold, 84.
Maxima was elegant in a shimmering floor-length dress that transitioned from dark blue to pearl blue.
The couple were also joined at the event by King Willem-Alexander, as well as members of the Norwegian Royal Family, including Queen Sonja, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Princess Martha Louise of Norway.

The dress was decorated with light glitter that shimmered as she moved and acted as a highlight for her matching tiara and diamond earrings.
Around her shoulders was a sheer draped robe that complemented her dress, which was tucked under a royal red sash and tied together with a sparkly brooch.
The Dutch queen opted for a more dramatic makeup look and wore a smokey eye that mimicked the colors of her dress.
King Willem-Alexander also looked particularly dashing, as he wore a white tie for the occasion consisting of a black coat and tails and a red royal sash to match his wife’s.

He walked into the event arm in arm with Queen Sonja, who opted for a vibrant lime green floor-length dress for the occasion.
Meanwhile, Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a gorgeous floor-length white dress for tonight’s outing.
And Princess Martha Louise, the only daughter and eldest child of King Harald V and Queen Sonja, wore a lilac off-the-shoulder dress.
The royal visit started despite the rain earlier in the day and their majesties were greeted by the public, including children from a Dutch school in Oslo.

The mother of three and her husband were previously seen disembarking at Oslo Gardermoen airport as they prepared for a whirlwind state visit to the country at the invitation of King Harald of Norway.
Proving her fashion prowess, Maxima stylishly undressed in a beautiful emerald green silk dress and completed her outfit with dangling earrings, beige pointed stiletto heels and a pair of chic gloves.

The natural beauty, who kept her makeup subtle, opted for a light blush and a coat of mascara for the occasion, and was seen sheltered from the rain under an umbrella.
Meanwhile, King Willem-Alexander looked neat in a smart black suit, crisp white shirt and yellow tie.
Later, Queen Máxima and her husband attended a wreath-laying ceremony at the National Monument at Akershus Fortress.
The Dutch royal family, which was received by the Norwegian Queen Sonja and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, will visit Oslo and Trondheim during their flute concert, which will take place from 9-11 November.

According to the Dutch Royal House, the state visit will confirm ‘the excellent relations between Norway and the Netherlands’.
The main themes of the visit are bilateral and international cooperation, climate change, the energy transition and sustainability.’
It is the second outgoing state visit of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima in 2021, after they visited Germany in July for a three-day trip that was postponed compared to last year due to Covid-19.
The royal couple last visited Indonesia from March 10-12, 2020, shortly before the global pandemic closed the borders and forced them to shut down.
It was a busy few weeks for the Dutch royal family, who returned from their trip to the Middle East last week to visit the Expo 2020 Dubai.
It is the first state visit to Norway since the start of the pandemic, although Crown Prince Haakon paid a virtual visit to California in April to discuss ways to work together on green initiatives and sustainability.
