Queen Letizia of Spain looked smart in a purple suit as she joined King Felipe at the country’s annual School of the Year Awards.

The Queen, 48, wore a striking lilac Hugo Boss suit with matching Hugo Boss Mayfair pumps and a matching lilac top for the outing in Tui, northeastern Spain.

Her husband, King Felipe VI, 53, opted for a classically cut suit with a blue shirt and matching patterned blue tie.

The couple attended to award the title to a local school, CRA Mestra Clara Torres, in recognition of their achievements.

The pair were welcomed by well-wishers and spoke to school officials as they embarked on their tour of the education center.

The Spanish royals both stopped to talk to the young students as they went about their school activities, inviting some to join them on stage for the awards ceremony.

The awards are organized by the Princess of Girona Foundation, which has appointed His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain as Honorary President on behalf of his daughter, Princess Leonor.

Princess Leonor has recently been reunited with her family for the first time since she left for boarding school in Wales in August.

The 15-year-old heir to the throne has been studying at UWC Atlantic College in Wales since September, but went home for a week’s rest with her loved ones mid-term, and classes resumed on November 1.

Over the weekend, Queen Letizia of Spain accompanied her lookalike daughters for a trip to Santa Maria del Puerto de Somiedo.

The family visited Santa Maria del Puerto de Somiedo, voted the best village in Asturias 2021, the day after the ‘Princesa de Asturias’ Awards.

Princess Leonor (15) and Infanta Sofía (14) accompanied their parents on the day out.
