Verratti has shown that he is capable of penetrating lines with his pass. He also showed that he is capable of threatening opponents when he carries the ball forward.

Given his absence, PSG can turn to Idrissa Gana Gueye to take over. The 32-year-old replaced Verratti at Le Classique on Sunday.

However, he will have big shoes to fill as PSG look to face Lille in Ligue 1 on Friday night, before facing RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday.

However, PSG could be gifted with the return of Ramos, who has been sidelined with a calf injury for the past three months.

Ramos has yet to make his first appearance for Paris Saint-Germain after arriving from Real Madrid this summer.
