Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti is expected to be out for four weeks after sustaining a hip injury during his clash with Marseille on Sunday.
Verratti was injured during PSG’s 0-0 draw with Marseille at Le Classique this weekend. As a result, he will most likely miss Italy’s World Cup qualifiers against Switzerland and Northern Ireland next month.
However, PSG revealed that Sergio Ramos could return to training with the team next week after being sidelined with a calf problem three months ago.

A PSG launched a statement saying: ‘After a shock received during the last match, Marco Verratti suffered a deep injury to the oblique muscles of his left hip. An unavailability of 4 weeks is expected depending on the evolution.
‘Kylian Mbappé is the victim of an ENT (ear) infection. An update will be made in 48 hours.
‘The evolution of Sergio Ramos’ recovery program, coordinated by the medical staff, is progressing very well. Continued resumption with the group may be considered over the course of the next week. ‘
The loss of Verratti will be a great blow for PSG, as they control the center of the park for the French team.

PSG, however, revealed that Sergio Ramos (above) could return to training with the team next week after being sidelined with a calf problem three months ago.
Verratti has shown that he is capable of penetrating lines with his pass. He also showed that he is capable of threatening opponents when he carries the ball forward.
Given his absence, PSG can turn to Idrissa Gana Gueye to take over. The 32-year-old replaced Verratti at Le Classique on Sunday.
However, he will have big shoes to fill as PSG look to face Lille in Ligue 1 on Friday night, before facing RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday.
However, PSG could be gifted with the return of Ramos, who has been sidelined with a calf injury for the past three months.
Ramos has yet to make his first appearance for Paris Saint-Germain after arriving from Real Madrid this summer.
