PS Plus and Games With Gold announced for August, PSN free multiplayer weekend on the way

Sony and Microsoft have announced that subscribers to PS Plus and Games With Gold can play for free in August. Sony offers Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered and the new release title Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, while Microsoft offers a plethora of older games including Portal Knights, Red Faction II and more.

Fable Dev Team includes GTA V, Borderlands and Batman: Arkham Veterans

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 campaign remastered

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered immerses you in an immersive, action-oriented adventure in which you must face a deadly new threat that threatens to collapse the world. The single player campaign has been completely remastered with improved textures, animations, physically based rendering, high dynamic range lighting and much more. Rediscover classic missions like Cliffhanger, The Gulag and Whiskey Hotel as you rejoin Soap, Price, Ghost and the rest of Task Force 141 in a global battle to restore order to the world.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout (August 4)

Survive a series of hilarious challenges until one winner remains in this colorful 60-player online multiplayer party game! Test your mettle in relentless free-for-all or co-op challenges with only the winning team progressing to the next round. Bend, bounce and smash your way through hilarious physics-based obstacles, from smashing doors to balancing huge seesaws to racing on mountains full of traps. Add a touch of style to your Fall Guy by customizing them with everything from stylish pineapple couture to flattering prehistoric fashion.

Portal Knights (August 1-31)

Forge your character, create epic weapons and defeat your enemies in this 3D action sandbox RPG. You and your party are the only hope of a world torn apart and terrorized by the Hollow King. Elevate your hero as you explore dozens of randomly generated islands, create stunning structures and interact with the country’s colorful inhabitants in a quest to become the ultimate Portal Knight.

MX Unleashed (August 1-15)

Replay an addictive freestyle motorcycle game from the classic Xbox era. Perform stunts and tricks on huge, dangerous tracks to unlock amazing game secrets in a wide variety of freestyle and supercross locations. With huge sandbox environments, this motocross game is a great off road playground.

Red Faction II (August 16-31)

Fight to topple a corrupt dictator and government in this classic first-person shooter. It has been five years since the Mars uprising began and the oppressed Commonwealth people rebelled. Lead a team of unique super soldiers, each with their own specialized methods of destruction, ranging from destruction to armed ships, to overthrow the crooked government and restore peace to the country.

Transfer: Mech City Brawl (August 16 – September 15)

High octane mech combat comes in a city-crushing ballad of destruction! Experience a full-length blockbuster campaign, a myriad of local and online multiplayer modes, and a cast of 12 giant mechs to test, each customizable and with their own special abilities. Tower over your opponents and destroy environments inspired by real locations to become the best mech pilot. No gears, no glory!

Sony has also announced that they will be offering a free multiplayer weekend soon, which will allow you to play any MP without signing up for PS Plus. It starts at 12:01 am on August 8 and runs until 11:59 pm on August 9.
