Prince William cut a neat figure as he arrived at a Joint Ministerial Council reception at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London on Wednesday evening.

The Duke of Cambridge, 39, who opted for a smart black suit, crisp white shirt and polka dot tie, was joined for the occasion by Conservative Party chairman Amanda Milling.

The president of the Tory, who wore her blond hair loosely, looked elegant in a black patterned dress and heels as she appeared to be sharing a joke with the royal family.

The Joint Ministerial Council is an annual meeting between UK ministers and the leaders of the UK’s Overseas Territories that facilitates cooperation on a wide range of issues.

Over the course of the evening, the Duke of Cambridge put on a highly animated display – ranging from impassioned speeches to fits of laughter.

On Tuesday, Amanda commented on how she’d had a “productive” first day of discussions at the Joint Council of Ministers.

She let her social media followers know that she and other guests had focused on some crucial topics.

These include the environment, the International Maritime Organization III Code audit and economic resilience.
