Phylicia Rashad defended by fans after being accused of being Bill Cosby’s ‘Enabler’

AceShowbiz – Phylicia Rashad has left her fans behind. Shortly after she and her character on “The Cosby Show” Clair Huxtable were accused of being “enablers” of convicted rapist Bill Cosby, the actress was defended by her online devotees.

The 72-year-old received loving tributes from many on Twitter when they celebrated Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 9. However, one person in particular beat her and her TV character by tweeting, “Claire Huxtable was an enabler of the tallest and most prolific rape predator in US history, Bill Cosby.”

“Everyone on the set knew he was a sadistic predator. Everyone,” the troll continued in a post deleted since then. “Seventy-five women were drugged and raped by Cosby and he got away with it because of enablers.”

While Rashad has yet to comment on the troll’s statement, her fans were quick to defend her. One in particular noted, “Neither Claire Huxtable nor Phylicia Rashad are responsible for Bill Cosby’s actions. She was his colleague and employee, not his supervisor or co-conspirator in his crimes.”
