The calendar contains 24 individually wrapped servings of delicious cheese, packaged in a fully recyclable, refrigerator door-friendly cardboard calendar.

The Cheese Calendar has proven to be a must-have for the holidays.

Since its first Christmas launch in 2016, more than 700,000 Cheese advent calendars have been sold in 16 countries, and it has become one of Amazon’s top 10 best-selling Christmas calendars.

Annem wrote on Instagram ahead of the launch today: ‘So here it is! The Cheese Advent Calendar will be available in 16 different countries from November!

“It feels weird typing that – especially when I created the idea as a handmade cardboard prototype in my pajamas in 2015! I still pinch myself.

What cheeses are on the calendar for 2021?

*NEW FOR 2021* Ilchester Cheddar with Apple, Onion and Sage – A versatile and uniquely flavored British Cheddar, carefully blended for a well rounded deliciously sweet apple flavour, with delicious savory notes from the onion and aromatic sage. Pairs perfectly with turkey and cranberry sauce.

apple wood – A true English treasure, Applewood is made in the West Country of British cheddar and has a delicate smoky flavor and a wonderfully smooth texture, with a hint of paprika for a good dose.

Applewood Vintage BOB aged 12 months – This delicious cheese is made from traditional hand twisted British Farmhouse Cheddar. It has a delicate smoky flavor with an exquisitely smooth, rich creaminess that melts in the mouth. Creamy yellow in color, with a pinch of paprika.

Ilchester Ripe Cheddar – Ilchester’s Cheddar is made in the West Country, close to where Cheddar originated in the Mendip Hills. Take a bite and let the creaminess melt in your mouth, with its earthy, spicy notes.

Ilchester Vintage BOB Cheddar – Carefully aged, this cheddar is made in the West Country near the Mendip Hills. With a drier texture than standard cheddar due to the aging process, you may be lucky enough to discover some calcium crystals that make the texture crispier.

Ilchester Double Gloucester – This is a hard cheese with a savory, soft taste. You may know it as the famous cheese rolled through Coopers Hill annually in May for the UK’s most extreme cheese rolling race!

Ilchester Red Leicester – Soft and nutty! Add a pop of color to your cheese board with this traditional English cheese, based on a classic Cheddar recipe.

Ilchester Aged Red Leicester – This traditional English cheese has been carefully matured for at least 9 months, giving it a recognizable soft, spicy and nutty taste.

Mexicana – This cheese combines a fiery blend of bell, jalapeño and chiles, carefully blended with British cheddar and a secret blend of Mexican spices.

“It’s come a long, long way since then and I couldn’t be more grateful to this great little, inexpensive community for all the support.

“The new version is packed with nine different delicious cheeses, with something for everyone to fall in love with.”

The cheese advent calendar was born when Annem posted a blog in 2016 showing how anyone can make one at home.

After more than two days of trending on Facebook and support from celebrities like Emma Bunton and Zooey Deschanel, more than 11,000 people signed up to support the campaign in just four days.

It was there that the Cheese Calendar trend was born, turning her idea from a small prototype into a global sensation that melted everyone’s heart.

She officially launched the calendar five years ago and ASDA revealed it was a bestselling year.
