Newcastle’s manager search is reportedly narrowed down to two names, with Unai Emery or Eddie Howe set to land the job at soccer’s richest club.
Their search for Steve Bruce’s successor is now in its third week, and the Magpies have yet to appoint a coach for the job with the club languishing in the relegation zone.

If they can’t sign Emery, then Eddie Howe is the next man in the race.
Emery is signed to Europa League winner Villarreal until 2023 and it is believed Newcastle would have to pay the Spanish club around £ 5.1 million in compensation.
The decision is said to depend on whether Newcastle can meet Emery’s personal terms and pay him a salary similar to what he had at Arsenal.
If they can’t persuade Emery to join St James’ Park, then Eddie Howe would be their next option.
Howe, has been out of work since leaving Bournemouth following his relegation to the Championship in the summer of 2020.
