Officials are searching for a man accused of shooting a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper Friday near Mexia.
According to the DPS, The shooting happened on U.S. Highway 84 west of Mexia in Limestone County, about 81 miles southeast of Dallas.
The trooper was taken in serious condition to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Waco but the trooper’s identity has not been released.
According to the report, Law enforcement is searching for 37-year-old DeArthur Pinson Jr. in the shooting. Pinson is a Black male having 220 pounds weight and 6′0′’ ft tall with brown eyes and black hair. He was in a black hoodie, glasses, and shorts with a stripe.
He was last seen at nearly 5:50 p.m on Friday. Anyone who gets information directly contacts with near police.
