Nico Ali Walsh, grandson of the legendary Muhammad Ali, continued his fairytale start in professional boxing by winning his second fight with a third-round knockout of James Westley II.
Ali Walsh made world headlines after beating Jordan Weeks in his pro debut in August with a first-round TKO.
The 21-year-old continued to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps by dropping Westley on Saturday night in Atlanta.

Middleweight fighter Ali Walsh is the son of Robert Walsh and Rasheda Ali Walsh, the daughter of Muhammad Ali. He signed a deal with Bob Arum’s Top Rank Boxing in June before his first professional fight in the US state of Oklahoma.
Given his debut, audiences expected great things from Ali Walsh and he did not disappoint.
While the fight only lasted three rounds, Westley became the first professional wrestler to test Ali Walsh’s chin with a heavy punch. But Ali Walsh was unfazed and continued to attack Westley with his right hand.
“I know the crowd got excited to see him punch me, but I really didn’t feel it,” Ali Walsh said after the fight.
Ali Walsh took a heavy hit from Westley before knocking him down in the second and third rounds.
The towel came in after Westley’s second knockdown, giving Ali Walsh a well deserved victory.

The fighter with the famous name made devastating use of his straight right hand, quickly putting Westley on the mat in the second round.
Smelling blood, Ali Walsh kept up the pressure in the third round and eventually put Westley back on one knee using his straight right hand. Westley’s corner had seen enough and threw in the towel to give Ali Walsh another resounding victory.
“I am lucky to continue my grandfather’s legacy. Everyone who loved my grandfather is now looking at me, ” Ali Walsh said, before acknowledging that he has room for improvement.
