MSI releases the Optix MAG272C monitor with a 1500R curve with a 1080p / 165Hz panel

MSI has the Optix MAG272C monitor that features not only a 27 “screen, a VA-based panel that offers 1080p resolution, but also the higher refresh rate of 165 Hz. The higher refresh rate is not only perfect for gaming, but also for content creation and consuming content One feature that gamers will enjoy is the 1500R curvature that MSI has added to the screen so that the entire screen stays in your field of view.

The Optix MAG272C monitor is designed with both gamers and content creators in mind, as its super narrow bezels allow for a much more immersive 180-degree multi-monitor setup. The super narrow bezels also work perfectly in a modern streaming setup. Another reason the Optix MAG272C monitor is perfect for a three monitor setup is the curvature to the 27-inch screen, and this screen has a 1500R curvature that allows easy viewing of any edge of the monitor.

This monitor has an amazingly fast refresh rate of 165 Hz and the 1ms response time benefits the fast moving game genres like FPS, Racing Sims and fighting games. These games require not only fast movements, but also incredible precision in those movements, which have a high refresh rate, and a fast response time can provide a slight performance boost.

This screen supports both the sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamut, this monitor has 120% coverage of the sRGB and 90% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

The Optix MAG272C monitor also supports AMD’s variable refresh rate software called AMD FreeSync Premium. This software is designed to stop any choppy gameplay or broken frames, making games much more immersive.

For connectivity, this monitor has one DisplayPort connector, two HDMI 2.0 connectors and even a USB Type-C connector that can charge and transfer video data. This large number of connections ensures wide compatibility for different devices.

This monitor also features a USB hub, which allows two additional connections on the back of the monitor. MSI has not yet released pricing information or a release date for the Optix MAG272C monitor.
