minor league baseball milb season cancellation

There will not be a 2020 Minor League Baseball season.

MiLB announced in a press release on Tuesday that because Major League Baseball will not supply its affiliated teams in 2020, the MiLB season will be canceled.

MiLB president / CEO Pat O’Conner said the cancellation of the 2020 season means that for the first time since MiLB was founded in September 1901, there will be no minor league ball.

Major League Baseball is preparing to continue with a regular season of 60 games, starting in July.
