Microsoft confirms an event for September 22: everything points to new Surface

In case there were few technological events that had already been scheduled for this month, Microsoft just announced one more for September 22. He has done it with a concise tweet on your official profile in whose image we can see what, without a doubt, is a Microsoft Surface.

The event will take place, as we said, on September 22 at 11 AM ET, or what is the same, at 5:00 p.m. Spanish peninsular time. It is not known what the Redmond company will present, but seeing the most recent rumors it is expected that we will see a new computer and a new dual screen mobile.

Here it smells like Surface

On the one hand, there have been several rumors about a possible Surface Duo 2. Let’s remember that the Surface Duo is that Android mobile with two screens that Microsoft launched in 2019 and that arrived in Spain in mid-2020 for 1,549 euros.

It is not a terminal that has made a lot of noise, but recent leaks suggest that Microsoft works on a Surface Duo 2. Windows Central published a series of images in which you can see a similar design to the original model, but with three rear cameras. It was also said that it would mount a Snapdragon 888 processor, so it would be compatible with 5G networks.

On the other hand, various leaks indicate that Microsoft has a Surface Book 4 (or Surface Laptop Studio, depending on the leak we look at) in the oven. It is expected from this device that instead of mounting a “removable” screen like the Surface Book, be a folding device that adopts a format similar to the Magic Keyboard of the iPad Pro.

This screen it would be 14 inches with 90 or 120 Hz refresh rate. The new design would allow, according to the leaks, to mount more powerful processors and graphics cards from the GeForce RTX family. A new Surface Pen with haptic feedback is also expected and, of course, that it will be one of the first devices to arrive with Windows 11 pre-installed.

In any case, they are just rumors and leaks and nothing is official. It will be time to wait until September 22 to get out of doubt.
