McDonald’s and Arnott’s combine two Australian classics to release a limited edition Tim Tam McFlurry just in time for summer.

The delicious vanilla ice cream treat, topped with crunchy Tim Tam cookies and a smooth milk chocolate sauce, promises to be a one-of-a-kind dessert when it hits restaurants nationwide on December 1.

But if you want to taste it earlier, the McFlurry will be available exclusively on UberEats from November 24 for a week.

The Tim Tam McFlurry marks the start of Macca’s biggest summer campaign to date, with new flavor combinations, menu items and collaborations reaching franchises from now through February.

“To celebrate the magic of summer, Macca’s is kicking off two months of exciting new menu items, delicious flavor combinations and iconic brand collaborations to help our customers enjoy great times together,” said Tim Kenward, marketing director at McDonald’s Australia.

“At Macca’s, we believe that great combinations make summer so special, whether it’s sun and surf, friends and family, or Tim Tam and McFlurry.

“We’re so excited to kickstart our summer campaign by introducing one of our most iconic flavor combinations, allowing Aussies to enjoy a delicious dessert with loved ones this summer.”

While the price of the McFlurry will vary depending on the franchise, the lowest cost is $4 per regular service.

Right now, McDonald’s sells Mini M&M-flavored McFlurries and an Oreo cookie option, in addition to the fast-food restaurant’s usual warm apple pie and fudge sundaes.

Tim Tam was originally created by Ian Norris, the director of food technology at Arnott’s in the 1950s.

In 1958 he decided to travel the world in search of inspiration for new products and came across the Penguin biscuit in Britain.

Rather than take the idea, he decided to make a “better” version of it and in 1964 Tim Tam’s hit the market.
