McDonald’s Australia has sparked outrage on social media after quietly removing the popular all-day breakfast menu option.
The fast food chain will no longer serve breakfast menu items after noon.
In a statement to the Daily Mail Australia, a spokeswoman for McDonald’s said: ‘Our breakfast menu will be available until 12 noon in restaurants and 10:30 am through McDelivery to better meet customer needs during other peak times.
“By adjusting our all-day breakfast schedule, we hope to reduce the time our customers spend waiting for other items during the afternoon and evening rush hours.
“While we understand some customers will be disappointed, our breakfast menu will remain available in the restaurant until 12 noon every day and through McDelivery until 10:30 am.”
However, the McDonald’s spokeswoman confirmed that fans’ favorite hash browns can still be ordered all day long.

The restaurant prides itself on not putting ‘labels’ on meals, and its website currently states: ‘We don’t believe in labels at Macca’s, such as dinner or breakfast. So we got rid of them. You can have a Big Mac for breakfast or a Hash Brown for dinner.’
In particular, many diners have objected to McDonald’s for canceling the daily menu, with one man writing on Facebook: ‘When did you very quietly drop the daily menu? Not everyone wants burgers when they eat.
‘For lunch or dinner I regularly ate a meal with bacon and eggs. Losing a customer here. I just walked out of the store without buying anything.’

And he wasn’t the only one furious about the chain’s decision.
‘Why did you stop eating breakfast all day? Even without notice! Not happy,” one woman wrote.
Another said: ‘Thank you for taking care of shift workers by stopping breakfast all day. Only available until 12 noon now. So much for not putting ‘labels’ on the meals.’
While one man said: ‘I just woke up from a night out, hungover and hungry. Unable to cook my own food. My girlfriend drives me to Maccas… and to my horror the daily menu has been violated.
This is the second worst since COVID-19. How does McDonald’s expect me to go to bed at 4am and wake up early enough to get the glorious McMuffin sausage to revive my soul. I don’t want a Big Mac for breakfast, I want pancakes for dinner.’
