Lufthansa plans more flights to attract business travelers-report
German Airlines Lufthansa is reportedly aiming to regain business travelers by increasing the number of flights and improving catering, board members said on Sunday.
Lufthansa carries about 50% of the passengers who flew before the 2019 coronavirus crisis and flies to 88% of its pre-pandemic destinations.
Christina Foerster, director of the customer, IT and corporate responsibility at Lufthansa, told the Funke Media Group on Sunday:
“This is important for business travelers who want to fly back and forth on the same day.”
Foerster also said the airline will add a noon flight to its particularly popular routes and will introduce a new menu for premium customers from September 1st that combines German cuisine with international influence.
The airlines are well prepared for the surge in demand when travel to the United States resumes, Falster added.
