More than four years after meeting on set, Justin Hartley and Sofia Pernas found love after a broken heart.
In November 2019, news broke that the This is us filed for divorce from Chrishell Stause after two years of marriage. While he mentioned that their divorce date was July 8, 2019, the Sell Sunset star marked the end of their marriage as November 22, 2019, the same day Hartley submitted the paperwork.
“Filing for divorce was a big surprise to everyone around Justin and Chrishell in terms of their friends,” a source told Us weekly at the time noting that the actor ‘had problems with marriage for a while’.
For her part, Stause claimed on her Netflix reality show that she was blinded by the application.
“I’m just kind of shocked at all of this,” she said in season 3 teaser. “It’s just a lot at a time, because everyone in the world knows. I love him so much. This was my best friend. Who should I talk to now? ‘
After Stause’s costar Christine Quinn alleged that the former couple was “in therapy” and “had communication problems for a while” before their split, the All my children alum shot back.
