Former Real Madrid and Everton star James Rodriguez is said to have signed a lease with Greece’s Olympiacos.
The 31-year-old currently plays for Qatar’s Al-Rayyan, but seems eager to return to Europe after a one-year absence from the Middle East.
Rodriguez has been linked with moves to Valencia and Galatasaray in recent weeks, with reports saying he would take a ‘wage cut’ to join LaLiga.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has stated that a deal with Olympiacos will be finalized and that the Colombian star will fly to Greece today for a medical.
It is added that a verbal agreement on a loan has already been made.
Should he go to Olympiacos, it would be the ninth club in his career.
Rodriguez has been in Qatar for the past 12 months, delivering five goals and seven assists in 15 appearances after a disappointing season at Everton.

He also had a disappointing year at Everton during the 2020-21 season before joining Al-Rayyan. came
Prior to his stint at Goodison Park, the midfielder won league titles with Porto, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, as well as two Champions League crowns with Los Blancos.
The other European club the Colombian played for is Monaco, but he only spent a year in the principality before his performances at the 2014 World Cup – where he won the Golden Boot and the goal of the tournament – earned him a transfer from £63 million went to the Bernabéu.
Olympiacos are currently third in the Greek Super League, with two wins and two draws this season so far.
A move to Olympiacos would reunite him with former Madrid teammate Marcelo
He wouldn’t be the only big name player to join the club, having previously recruited a former Real Madrid team-mate to Rodriguez.
Marcelo, who won the Champions League trophy just under four months ago after Madrid’s 1-0 win over Liverpool, joined the Greek side on a free transfer after leaving the Spanish giants after 15 seasons with the club.
