James Middleton has shared his joy after his pet start-up Ella & Co won Pet Professional of the Year last night.

The brother of the Duchess of Cambridge, 34, launched his canine health and wellness business in June 2020, inspired by his own furry friends, sharing health advice and selling pet food on the website Ella & Co.

And last night, the health and wellness company won a Pet Industry Federation award and was also nominated as a finalist for Online Business of the Year 2021.

The entrepreneur, who has been candid about his struggles with mental health in an effort to raise awareness around the subject, has nine dogs – Golden Retriever Mabel, a black Labrador, two Cocker Spaniels and five Black Spaniels named Rafa, Ella, Zulu, Inka and Luna – to whom he has credited for helping him through difficult times.

Posing with the company’s namesake, his dog Ella, and the award, he wrote, “From dog dad to award-winning dog dad.

My dogs, I think, are totally oblivious to their gift to me, but every day I want to tell them how deeply I appreciate the power of their unconditional love and companionship, so I’ve made it my mission to give them something back. and to be recognized for it is wonderful.

“I am so grateful and humbled to have received the Pet Industry Federation’s ‘Pet Professional of the Year’ award and Ella & Co as a finalist for Online Business of the Year 2021.”

In June 2019, James also shared his first photo together with French financial expert Alizee Thevenet, who he has also credited with bringing happiness into his life.

The pair were photographed at the beginning of the year while on holiday in St Barts with Pippa Middleton, her husband James Matthews, brother-in-law Spencer Matthews and wife Vogue Williams.
