In their Euro 2020 Group A match, Italy will face Switzerland in Rome.

Italy easily defeated Turkey in the tournament’s first encounter, thanks to goals from Lorenzo Insigne, Ciro Immobile, and an own goal.

It was an ideal start for Roberto Mancini’s side, who will be aiming for a maximum number of points against Switzerland.

While they didn’t win the match, Switzerland impressed against Wales and were held to a 1-1 draw by a late Kieffer Moore header.

Predicted line-ups:

Italy: Donnarumma, Di Lorenzo, Bonucci, Chiellini, Spinazzola, Barella, Jorginho, Locatelli, Berardi, Immobile, Insigne

Switzerland: Sommer, Elvedi, Akanji, Schar, Mbabu, Xhaka, Freuler, Rodriguez, Shaqiri, Embolo, Seferovic

Italy vs Switzerland Team News

Marco Verratti, who has recovered from a knee injury but may not be match fit, will most likely miss the game. Manuel Locatelli, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League, will play in midfield with Jorginho and Nicolo Barella. Alessandro Florenzi, who has a calf problem, will be replaced by Giovanni Di Lorenzo.

Denis Zakaria could be brought in by Vladimir Petkovic to counter Italy’s midfield strength. As back-up for Yann Sommer, the Swiss called up goalkeeper Gregor Kobel to replace the injured Jonas Omlin.

Italy vs Switzerland Prediction

While Italy dominated Turkey and are deserved favorites in this match, don’t count out a draw because Switzerland may be stubborn. However, I believe Italy will have an excessive amount. Italy is behind 3-1.
