iPhone 13, Apple Watch Series 7 and more: everything we hope to see at Apple’s event on September 14
There are brands that tend to summon us very frequently throughout the year due to their multiple launches and there are others that do just the opposite, such as Apple. Those of Cupertino centralize their specific releases in a few events each year and some of them tend to be specific in their annual update, such as the WWDC or the presentation of new iPhones, and precisely the latter is what we hope to see at the next Apple Event.
But it looks like, despite being the stars of that presentation of tomorrow, September 14 at 7:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time), they will not come alone and there will be more important news that day. The event was confirmed a few days ago and the invitation, unlike other occasions, did not give us many clues, but the rumors have become even more crowded as this event has approached.
New iPhone 13
The iPhone 13 will be, as we said in the introduction, the protagonists of this presentation clearly. Apple would have followed last year’s pattern in terms of variants, expecting to see:
As highlights in everything filtered and rumored, there is the possibility of a change in the minimum and maximum capacities, starting from 128 GB and reaching 1 TB. It does not seem that it will be that iPhone without ports that has been rumored for a long time, but the reduction of the notch, which has been intact since its appearance on the iPhone X.
The design does not seem to change much more, except for the new colors that are rumored and that are usually in each new model. There has also been talk of the return of the TouchID, Apple’s fingerprint reader, but integrated into a screen that now would reach 120 Hz and LPTO technology.
With this new refresh rate, it is expected that there will be a higher energy consumption, but there are also leaks in favor of an increase in the capacity of the batteries, although this could be only in the Pro models. The main improvements in photography would come to these models, talking about the incorporation of LiDAR, larger sensors (with larger pixels) and important software developments such as a ProRes mode (similar to having a raw for video) and a portrait mode for video.
Apple Watch Series 7
For the next Apple Watch it is expected a redesign and a change in size, which is already making people talk about the possibility that they can [no valer las correas para modelos anteriores]https://www.applesfera.com/rumores/uno-mayores-grandes-almacenes-espana-va-a-liquidar-sus-correas-apple-watch-a-pocos-dias-keynote (). The Apple Watch Series 7 would go on to have models of 41 and 45 millimeters, leaving behind the 40 and 44 millimeters that we have seen until the Apple Watch Series 6 and the Apple Watch SE.
With the new size there would also be a redesign of the interiors, so that the battery would have greater capacity. But leaving dimensions aside and speaking of aesthetics, that redesign would imply inherit angled corners that returned to the iPhone from 12.
That return of the TouchID in the iPhone 13 has also been discussed for the new Apple Watch (which would not be a return, it would be a new integration), but it would not be on the screen, but on the crown. The screen, for its part, would reach 1.9 inches and there is talk of microLED technology as a novelty, although the latter has not come to sound as much.
As for the new functions, it seems that one of the great novelties will ultimately not be so much being able to detect the blood glucose value, but blood pressure measurement and improvements in the swimming log and other activities. In this regard, it seems a more demure evolution than others, but for now they are rumors.
Little has been said about possible third-generation AirPods that are expected for this event. It seems that the most basic wireless headphones from Apple (not for being simple, but for being under the Pro) would inherit the design of the AirPods Pro. But without that last name, not all the functions of Apple’s most advanced wireless devices would reach the new ones, and active noise cancellation may be on the way.
Less likely: iPad mini and iPad (standard)
The talk about new iPads is less intense, considering that there could be yet another Apple event in the remainder of the year. The candidates who most timidly aspire to appear tomorrow would be a new iPad mini and a new iPad (not Air and not Pro), waiting for an iPad Air design in the case of the successor to the last iPad mini and a reduction of frames in the renewal of the iPad (2020).
But what has been said: they do not sound with too much intensity for tomorrow, September 14. In fact, according to Gurman, a reputable leaker specialized in Apple with a high hit rate), he already comments that there will be another event in a few weeks entered new iPads and new Macs.
Tomorrow we will leave doubts
According to rumors, orders for the iPhone 13 will start on September 17 and the launch is expected for the 24th of the same month. The iPhone would also come with the final version of iOS 15, which would already be released publicly to all users with a compatible mobile.
At the moment we have to wait, and very little. In Engadget we will follow him so that you have all the details live (tomorrow we will tell you the details) and that you do not miss anything. We remember: it will be on the 14th at 10:00 am PDT (local time, in California), which is 7:00 p.m. in mainland Spain (6:00 p.m. in the Canary Islands), 12:00 p.m. in Mexico and Ecuador, 1:00 p.m. in Cuba and Venezuela and 2:00 p.m. in Chile and Argentina.
