Inside the incredible $2.5 million red brick house

A quirky home made from over 100,000 red bricks exudes a factory feel to pay tribute to the neighborhood’s industrial past.

The four bedroom, three bathroom property on Forrest Street in Mount Lawley, Western Australia, aptly named ‘Brick House’, replicates the warehouse aesthetic through its exposed brick, sawtooth roof, concrete floors and steel beams.

The house is on a small block of 308 sqm but offers a generous 484 sqm space with 360 degree views from the roof terrace, jacuzzi and hanging net for comfortable reading.

“The vision for Forrest Street was to create a renovated landmark factory that has become a home, while ignoring the reality that it’s an entirely new structure,” State of Kin said. real estate.com.au.

“It’s a very deceptive project – combining advanced new materials with older, traditional techniques and vice versa, really embracing history with the contemporary.”
