Influencer who shared sexy photos of himself next to dad’s coffin on Instagram defends her post

A Florida woman who has been called “disgusting,” “trashy” and “despicable” for posing for sexy Instagram photos in an “inappropriate” black dress at her father’s funeral has vehemently defended the post.

Earlier this week, Jayne Rivera, 20, shared photos of herself wearing a one-sleeve blazer-mini dress with a plunging neckline, black tights and high-heeled boots to the ear, posing striking poses right next to her chest. father wears.

The images quickly went viral on Reddit and Twitter, making international headlines as critics called her behavior shameful — but Rivera has urged NBC News that there was ‘nothing wrong with what I posted, and I stand by that’.

In fact, she said, her father supported her career as a “full-time influencer,” so it made sense to post his corpse on her Instagram page.

Far from looking sad in the photos, Rivera shows off her outfit while kicking a heel, adopting a fake prayer pose and offering a close-up smile to the camera.

Her father, Jose Antonio Rivera, died on October 11 at the age of 56. He was a veteran.

AN redditor said the original caption contained a series of hashtags, including #rip #papi #dadless #veteran #ptsd #funeral #neverforgotten, although a later screened version did not have the hashtag #dadless.

Comments poured in on social media telling Rivera to delete the post and taunt her for the inappropriate photo shoot.

But Rivera insisted that she took the photos “with the best of intentions in a way that my father would have approved had he been alive.”

‘Everyone processes the loss of a loved one in their own way; some are more traditional, while others can come across as taboo,” she said.

“For me, I treated the party as if my father was standing next to me and posing for the camera, as he had done so many times before.”

Rivera said she spent eight years building her audience on social media, and her father was featured on her account — so it made sense for her to record his funeral.

“People will disagree anyway, and I’m used to it. I’m a Rivera and I know my dad is proud of me and how it turned out,” she said. “He won’t be forgotten.”

But the internet’s verdict has been fierce, with Reddito commentators blaming the criticism.

“This bastard can’t even honor her own father, who fought for her country. It’s not just rubbish, it’s disgraceful,” one wrote.

“The narcissism is unreal,” wrote a second, while a third called it “cringe level 999.”

‘Trassy. These clout fighters are dropping to new lows. I also want to know what kind of people are shooting this mess. Why would you agree to take pictures of someone in this kind of situation,” another commenter wrote.

“You know how a complete addict can blow up his parents’ funeral by using and making a fool of himself right before the event? Here we have an addict – a dopamine addict. The ship par excellence is social media,” said another.

“I treated the party as if my father was standing next to me and posing for the camera as he had done before,” she said.

Another commented: “On the one hand she must be a despicable human being, on the other hand her father probably raised her and is responsible for at least 50%.”

Others called her “unhinged,” “depressing,” “trashy,” “horrific,” “repulsive,” and “disgusting.”

Some argued that even if she didn’t pose for the photos and then put them online for attention, it would still be “trashy” because of how inappropriate her dress was.

“That outfit is terribly inappropriate for the occasion,” said one.

“Imagine wearing something like that to a funeral,” said another.

The reaction was so strong that Instagram has since shut down her account, probably in response to multiple people reporting it.

However, Rivera insists she didn’t violate any community guidelines by posting the photos.
