‘Hawkeye’ trailer: superheroes and Christmas comedy for a Disney + series that is Marvel for the whole family in its purest form
On November 24, the new Marvel series arrives at Disney +, one that, a bit in the style of ‘Loki’, ‘Scarlet Witch and Vision’ or ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier’, takes up characters we already know from the first three phases of the MCU and continues their stories. In this case, and also continuing in the wake of what we already saw in the ‘Black Widow’ film, it serves to present the relief of actors who have already covered their cycle, but who can pass on the mantle of the character to new interpreters.
In this case, Jeremy Renner, who recovers his Clint Barton / Hawkeye character Hailee Steinfeld joins as Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer who wants to be a superhero. The mission in this case? Simple: that Clint does not miss a Christmas with his family again. But things can get complicated when an enemy from the past threatens the Avenger.
Where he puts his eye
Without a doubt, everything points to we are facing one of the lightest series of all that Disney + has presented in its initial approach to the MCU. There’s humor, lovable characters, no violence, and apparently no plot duplicity of sorts. meta. The Christmas setting even gives it an air of a vacation movie from the eighties that will make more than one fan sigh remembering more innocent times.
The only thing that can be regretted at the moment is that, although they had all the elements in favor of face an adaptation of the splendid comic of the character scripted by Matt Fraction and drawn by David Aja, the thing seems that it will pass by more conventional courses. Of course, only animation would do justice to a comic of that caliber, as ‘What if …?’ Is splendidly demonstrating. We will have to keep waiting.
