“Obviously it’s been a tough week, you can’t just put these things aside, especially if you lose to your rivals,” the center-back told the club’s official website.

“To lose the way we did was so disappointing. We’ve obviously had big discussions, we’ve analyzed the game and the goals and looked at how we can do better and improve. That’s the most important thing now, we have to come together as a group and as a club.”

“We know that as a group of players we have to make sure that we are together and that we are positive. It is difficult to move on, but we have to move on,” he added.

“There are a lot of games to play in the Premier League, we are strong in the group in the Champions League and we are still at the beginning of the season. And it’s a season where we know we can still do things.” to achieve.”

A ‘United’ dressing room
Since Sunday’s loss, multiple reports have emerged claiming that several members of the United squad are not happy with Solskjaer’s coaching methods, while certain media outlets have said the team is divided on whether the Norwegian is the right man to lead the Red Devils.

However, Maguire wanted to quash those rumors, claiming that every player wants to try and help the team and there is no ‘blame game’ in the squad.

“We have a lot of experience in our dressing room and a lot of leaders,” he said. “We are open, we are men and we can point the finger at anyone, but one thing is for sure and that is that we all know we are in this together, there is no blame.

“Everyone has to look at themselves and see where they can improve and help the team, that’s what I’ve done and I’m sure that’s what every player in the dressing room has done. That’s the only way forward, we’ll stick with each other, we go further and we improve.”

Support for Solskjaer
In a separate interview with Norwegian outlet TV2, Maguire was asked if Solskjaer is the right man to run United, and he was unequivocal in his response.

“Yes, of course,” he said. “Ole has been playing for this club for many years and has been the manager for three years. He knows what to expect and I’m sure he can handle the ups and downs. He knows what’s going on at this club.

“That [defeat to Liverpool] was obviously disappointing for him, but it was disappointing for everyone involved with this club. Everyone is looking at themselves and where they can improve, including me.

“I know from my experience at this club that when you lose games there are always rumors about what happens in the dressing room, but most of it is not true,” he added when asked about the reports of disharmony this week. . “We have a strong and unified dressing room. We stand for this together and move forward together.”
