Gary Lineker praised Leeds United star Patrick Bamford for beating up Twitter trolls who told the forward to ‘stay in football’.

Bamford revealed that he was bothered by “nonsensical” claims from fans on social media that he and the TV host “shouldn’t have an opinion” on issues outside of football.

Lineker is used to getting the same answers for talking politics, and the former forward endorsed the Elland Road man.
