First Direct is offering new customers £175 cashback when they switch to their current account – an increase from the previous offer of £150.

To claim the bonus you must open First Direct’s 1st account using your current account Switching Service and pay in £1,000 within 60 days.

You may not have previously held an account with the bank or opened an HSBC current account after December 31, 2018.

The bank is also raising its interest rates on all of its savings products.

The one-year rate for fixed-income savings increases by 0.75 percentage point to 1.25 percent and the cash Isa by 0.25 percentage point to 0.7 percent.
