Final Fantasy XVI will have some kind of Exclusivity for Playstation 5; Game would be unveiled in June – rumor
Final Fantasy XVI is getting some sort of PlayStation 5 exclusivity, according to rumors circulating online.
ResetERA forum member Navtra recently revealed that Final Fantasy XVI is currently in development and would be unveiled at the PlayStation 5 Future of Gaming event in June. The game, which is apparently closer to release than people think, has some sort of PlayStation 5 exclusivity.
XVI is real. It would be announced during the June event. It would be closer than most people would think. It has some sort of PS5 exclusivity (it was vague at the time, but it now seems to be full-time exclusivity). And I have no idea why they haven’t announced it yet.
While everything Navtra said about Final Fantasy XVI could be fake, there are a few things that suggest the user could be trustworthy. First, it is correct revealed the lineup of the Future of Gaming event before it aired, and even mentioned the exclusive Marvel’s Avengers PlayStation DLC before the official announcement made yesterday. Second, the user is authenticated by the ResetERA employee Transistor, who confirmed that Navtra has knowledge of such topics.
A timed PlayStation 5 exclusivity for Final Fantasy XVI wouldn’t come as much of a surprise given the Final Fantasy VII Remake deal that made the game exclusive to PlayStation 4 for a year. The franchise has also been closely associated with the PlayStation brand since the release of Final Fantasy VII in 1997, so it would make sense for Sony to seek such an agreement to boost PlayStation 5 sales.
Final Fantasy XVI has yet to be officially announced. We’ll keep you updated on the game as more come in, so stay tuned for the latest news.
