Emma Raducanu, 18, confirmed as the new face of Dior

Emma Raducanu is the latest celebrity to be announced as an ambassador for high-end fashion house Dior – just a month after she became the face of Tiffany & Co. in a deal estimated to be worth ‘£2 million’.

The 18-year-old tennis star, who lives in Kent, has experienced rapid growth into the A-list celebrity following her US Open victory in September.

In her new role, the teen will represent Dior Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s womenswear collections and the luxury brand’s skincare and makeup line.

She stunned last month at the premiere of the new James Bond film No Time To Die in a sparkly silver asymmetrical, Greek-inspired Dior maxi dress.

‘The sincerity of her approach and the way she turns shows into collective and meaningful events undoubtedly influenced my choice.’

The winner of the US Open took Twitter to announce her new role as ambassador for Dior, with fans eager to congratulate her on the achievement.

“Dear Dior pick, stay humble and make more Grand Slams,” one wrote, while a second commented: “That’s great news. They have made a wonderful choice. You always look like a million bucks. So happy for you Emma!’

It is not known how much Emma will be paid for her role as Dior ambassador.

In 2004, Oscar winner Charlize Theron reportedly signed a £27 million contract for 11 years with the brand.

And in 2014, actress Jennifer Lawrence was alleged to have been offered up to £14 million over three years.

Emma stunned the world in September when, just months after studying for her A-levels, she was crowned the US Open champion after beating Canadian Leylah Fernandez.

The first British woman in 44 years to win a Grand Slam singles title did not drop a set during the tournament.

Days later, she was among the A-list elite at New York’s Met Gala – the biggest night in fashion.

She stood for the occasion in a gorgeous midriff-bare monochromatic Chanel outfit complete with pearls around her waist and Tiffany diamonds in her ears.

Invited in person by Vogue chief Dame Anna Wintour, she sat at the $500,000 Chanel table with his famous ambassadors — sparking speculation that she would join them as an ambassador.

Last month, the teen was revealed as the face of jewelry brand Tiffany and Co in a deal estimated to be worth more than £2 million.

Emma announced the title on Instagram, saying: ‘Very excited to join the iconic @tiffanyandco family as a House Ambassador. It was an honor to be able to wear this special jewelry over the past few weeks!’

The tennis star has been billed as a ‘sponsored dream’ and is on track to become the highest-earning female athlete of all time. She was also reported to have laid the foundation for her potential earnings at age 17, by registering Harbor 6 Limited to manage her finances.

This week, Emma withdrew from the Moscow Kremlin Cup after losing her first game since the US Open in Indian Wells earlier this month.

She will be back in action next week at the Transylvania Open in her father’s home country, Romania, and possibly with a new coach in tow.

Emma is reportedly testing Johanna Konta’s former mentor Esteban Carril.
