Rita Ora and Jade Thirlwall have joined a slew of stars who swear to ditch social media for Digital Detox Day.
The Hot Right Now hitmaker, 29, and Little Mix singer, 27, took to Instagram on Friday to reveal they would be supporting the campaign, causing stars to take a break from their accounts on Saturday to raise awareness of mental health.
The campaign was promoted by YouTube star Zoe Sugg and Jordan Stephens of Rizzle Kicks, in partnership with Lush and the organization IAMWHOLE to “help people build healthier relationships with their devices.”

Stars have shown their support for the campaign by presenting their hands in a social media snap, featuring a black circle with the word ‘off’ written in it.
A fresh-looking Rita sported a leopard print knit V-neckline and styled her blonde locks in a sleek center part as she posted a short clip and photo to her Instagram.
In the video, she pushed her hand toward the camera and added, “I’m whole.”

It comes after Jade shared a photo on her feed with the caption: “Tomorrow, Saturday, May 5, I’ll be switching off for mental health by joining #DigitalDetoxDay with @iamwholeuk #IAMWHOLE.”

The reality star added how he refers to “social media and our mental health as a gas meter” in which the tank is full in the morning and slowly empties during the day.
He added: ‘While I’m a big believer in social media and all its benefits, I’m realistic in the knowledge that it also adversely affects our mental health, especially when I know how much we all scroll aimlessly!!’

Jordan Stephens posted a photo to his Instagram, where he shared that it was important to “rekindle our love for presence and look up.”
The palm with the word ‘out’ written in it is intended as an ‘out-of-office’ symbol so that people are aware that the person will not be reachable on social media.
It comes as the Digital Detox Day website reveals how social media is “more addictive than smoking and alcohol,” according to The Royal Society of Public Health.
27-year-old media personality Malin Andersson also revealed that ‘now is the perfect time to take a break’ after receiving some ‘news’ recently.
The body confidence influencer added, “If you prioritize your mental health and focus on YOU without endlessly scrolling through the lives of others, it will do you good.”
