UFC fighter Chris Barnett, who weighs an incredible 19 stone, sealed his victory over Gian Villante with an impressive roundhouse kick, before celebrating in the cage with a front jump.

The 35-year-old American heavyweight produced the surprising move in the second round of his UFC 268 clash with Villante in New York, with the shuttlecock kick surprising his fellow UFC veteran with two minutes of the round remaining.

Barnett managed to knock Villante down with the kick before keeping his opponent on the ground with a series of punches, forcing the referee to stop the fight when the American could no longer.

But Villante’s compatriot Barnett ran in celebration before displaying even more excellent athleticism with a timely front spin in the Madison Square Gardens cage.

It was Barnett’s first victory in the UFC, with the American, born in the Spanish city of Zaragoza, previously a regular at the Xtreme Fight Night and Island Fight events.

The roundhouse victory came in Barnett’s second UFC fight, with the American losing to Ben Rothwell, 40, via a guillotine choke in May of this year.

Barnett continued to win over UFC fans by showing good sportsmanship to his 36-year-old opponent, Villante, and the victor paid tribute to his fellow American who has young children along with his MMA career.

‘This is your city, this is your place, get up, cheer up my man. This could have been the last one, but it isn’t. You will travel with me from now on.

Barnett secured victory at a UFC 268 event in which Kamaru Usman beat Colby Covington via a points decision after Nigerian Nightmare knocked down his opponent twice in the second round.

Meanwhile, Rose Namajunas defended her strawweight belt against Zhang Weili by unanimous decision, while Justin Gaethje’s clash with Michael Chandler was a contender for Fight of the Year to start the main card.

Gaethje defeated Chandler in a brutal decision victory in which both fighters headed to the hospital after the clash.
