Chelsea goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli reveals he is ‘in awe of Ballon d’Or nominees Jorginho and N’Golo Kante in training’ and praises Thiago Silva for ‘never looking nervous’

Goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli has revealed that Jorginho and N’Golo Kante are the two Chelsea players he has admired the most since moving to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Chelsea strengthened its goalkeeping ranks by signing free agent Marcus Bettinelli from Fulham to a two-year deal in July.
The 29-year-old was hired to compete with number one Edouard Mendy and backup Kepa Arrizabalaga after the Blues released Willy Caballero following the end of his contract.

But he has been chained to the bench, firmly behind Mendy and Arrizabalaga in the pecking order, and has yet to show up on Thomas Tuchel’s side.
However, that hasn’t stopped him from having a front row seat in the displays of two particular teammates in training.
The Englishman admitted he was in awe of Jorginho and Kante, before giving Thiago Silva an honorable mention.

Bettinelli joined Chelsea’s homegrown quota after rejecting Aston Villa’s advances.
The goalkeeper left Fulham after his contract expired in June, after spending last season on loan at Middlesbrough, where he played a key role for Neil Warnock’s side as they failed to secure a place in the play-offs.
